Lyons Gardens, built by Family Eldercare, provides affordable housing for low income elders. The three-story design, with continuous covered walkways on the interior courtyard side of the collection of small buildings, allows for abundant light and air on three sides of every apartment, thereby eliminating the traditional, often dark, apartment feel.  In addition to the apartments, Lyons Gardens offers a host of amenities not usually found in such projects:  an expansive lobby and administrative office; a small, tenant-run convenience store; a beauty salon; a recreation/multi-purpose room; a television room; a computer room; a playscape; a small community garden; a gazebo; and a sizable, beautifully-landscaped courtyard with a water feature.
