ABOUT US

Ecology

Our commitment to green building and design springs from the belief that any individual or entity with the means to engage in the act of building has an obligation to do so responsibly with respect to other humans, the community, and the environment. Sustainable design practices have been hallmarks of our projects for decades — designs that are influenced by climate, prevailing breezes, solar exposure, the creative and careful use of natural light, and the use of durable, recycled, and healthy materials.

Sustainability is an Austin community value. Whether in Austin or another city around the United States, hatch + ulland owen architects has endeavored to incorporate sustainability into every project we take on. We are active members of Austin Energy’s Green Building Program, and we were the architects for Austin’s first large-scale, commercial green building — the retail complex on the northeast corner of 6th & Lamar.

With our USGBC LEED accredited staff members, we have the qualifications and design knowledge to bring the most appropriate and newest technology in sustainability to our projects.
