702 San Antonio Street, Austin, Texas
This 4-story structure was built in 1910 and is one of eleven buildings that compose the Bremond Block Historic District at West Seventh and San Antonio street. Having been recently restored, it has had many lives from a unique boarding house, to a perfect mix of apartments and offices, as well as home to a fine art gallery on the top floor. The grounds consist of multilevel limestone outcroppings and heritage trees including a giant live oak tree that spills over the sidewalk on one side of the building. The renovation of this historic property in downtown Austin was a labor of love for Tom Hatch, partner at h+uo architects.
