We remodeled the old Texenza coffee shop located at the base level of Frost Bank Tower into Houndstooth Coffee’s second location. Keeping in mind Houndstooth’s tagline, “the pattern of coffee and people,” Randall Owen used the story of coffee for the inspiration behind the design. Owen incorporated pendant lights with small red globes to resemble the shape of the coffee cherries into the design. Additionally, the red and green coffee cherries colors were integrated into the color scheme of the new shop. The new Frost Tower location is a prime place for Austinites to make Houndstooth part of their everyday pattern.
